SPS Bella Carmina (Imp) Chestnut 16.2hh Hanoverian -

SPS BELLE CARMINA (IMP) -  Hollingrove Stud is excited and proud to have purchased of the stunning multi Champion mare “Bella Carmina” as a 4yo, at the Hanoverian Elite Foal and Broodmare Auction in Verden, August 2008.

She was sired by former Bundeschampion winner “Bellissimo M”  and her dam is the illustrious “Carmina Burana”, who in 1998 was crowned “Bundessiegerstute” -the title of German Champion Mare. In 1999 Carmina Burana was 4th at the Bundeschampionat for riding horses in the 4yo.mare and gelding division whilst pregnant to Weltmeyer. The resulting foal “Walk of Fame” ended up in 2nd place at the 2003 Bundeschampionat for 3 YO. riding mares and geldings. In following years Carmina also won the title of “Louis-Wiegels-Schau” and “Ratje-Niebur-Schau”, which together with her title “Bundessiegerstute” made her the most successful mare ever in Hannover. From Carmina's family there are many famous horses, for example “Weltino” with Ellen Schulten-Baumer.

Bella Carmina herself received outstanding scores at her Mare performance testing, and at the recent Louis-Wiegels-Schau, where she was Champion, she received scores of 10's and 9's.

Bella Carmina's St Moritz colt Hollingrove Salzburg has been sold to Anna Thompson of Primrose Court Warmblood Stud in W.A.

Bella has foaled a super black Sir Donnerhall colt in Feb.2010. She will be rebred in September 2010, firstly using ET, then later, put in foal, with the choice of stallions being decided following our visit to Germany in July/August.

LADY DE LUXE (IMP)
- Is the latest addition to the Hollingrove broodmare band, She was imported from PSI, Hagen ,Germany by well known Olympian Mary Hanna at the same time as her champion stallion, Shiraz Black, just prior to the EI shutdown. Lady De Luxe beautiful gentle mare and a delightful riding horse.  However she was purchased because of her outstanding pedigree and contribution to our breeding program so will be bred this coming season to an approved Hanoverian stallion as a requirement to complete her States Premium mare status, following on from her excellent performance test .

At the 2010 Royal Melbourne Summer Horse Show she triumphed from a strong field of contenders to be awarded Champion Warmblood Mare or Filly. We will make a decision on her mating for the coming season following our trip to Germany , where we hope to see what types, the various stallions are producing over Londonderry mares.

HOLLINGROVE SAMOA - is one of the stud's valuable foundation mares has passed on many of her great qualities - free, rhythmical paces with cadence and hock action, a friendly relaxed and willing nature and beautiful correct type, which has seen her rarely beaten in led classes. Every one of her foals that has been shown has won Champion Foal, the eldest two are now winning under saddle in dressage and the 3rd has since won Champion  WB Stallion or Colt at Melbourne Summer Royal.

Samoa foaled a magnificent colt  Sundance by Sunny Boy in Nov .07  and he has   since sold to the McPherson family of Forster NSW.

Samoa is due to foal to Shiraz Black in early Nov.2010. This, being a similar cross of Sandro Hit/Donnerhall to Sunny Boy should, hopefully result in another outstanding foal.

HOLLINGROVE FALLON  impresses all that see her with her magnificent presence, big well put together type and the most expressive powerful movement which she passes on to all her offspring. Her 2005 Sandro Hit filly has the looks of her father with her mother's huge paces, and could well be one of the best foals yet to be bred in Australia and is certainly one with world class breeding!

Fallon's impressive Royal Hit filly is to be retained by the stud for future competition and breeding purposes. Fallon is due to foal to Sir Donnerhall in early Oct.2010.

HOLLINGROVE CHANDON –  Donnerhall blood on the damline is highly sought after in Europe, and mares of Chandon's quality are hard to find and generally not for sale. So far, she has produced 3 excellent foals for us and we have glowing reports from their new owners.  Her outstanding Weltmeyer foal was sold to Singapore and the lovely Escudo 1 filly has found a  new home in Western Australia.

Chandon's yearling filly Fleur de Lis by boom sire Fidertanz is growing beautifully and displaying her sire's 3 excellent paces and is for sale. We eagerly await Chandon's late Sept.2010 foal by the young Grand Prix dressage sensation Desperados, who is currently winning and placing highly at major German shows in his first season at Grand Prix.

HOLLINGROVE DREAMTIME - Is one of only a couple of frozen semen Australian foals sired by the ill-fated black Oldenburg  stallion "Dream of Glory", this sensational filly has been eagerly sought after since birth, with several large offers refused. However, it was always our intention to retain a filly for breeding by this fabulous sire, and we are certainly thrilled with how she has turned out, proving to be the one of the best moving horses we have seen either in Australia or in Europe with suspension and cadence "to die for". She has proved our opinion correct by being unbeaten with fabulous scores both times shown.

Dreamtime has produced a stunning black colt by Sirocco (Dec'd).  He is beautifully marked with a star and 4 white socks and has fabulous 'uphill' paces. She has since had 2 similar quality colts by Royal Hit and Fidertanz, both of which sold quickly to excellent homes

For the 2010 season she is expecting an ET foal by Royal Oak 11 in early Sept.2010 followed by her own Dancier foal in late October. We are excited about both these foals as they should be very flash too!!

SANTA FE (IMP) - was purchased from the famous Hengstation Pape in Hemoor, Germany and imported to Australia by Hollingrove Stud as a 2 year old. She was bred by the well respected Struck and Landgraf partnership and is closely related to His Highness through her grandmother, the important broodmare Agave, his great grandmother. She is also closely related to many other licensed stallions and competition horses including Donnerprinz, Don Jovi, Sir Sandro, Furst Rousseau, Scolari, PB Barclay, PB Worldman, PB Dramatic(WYH Champion 2008), Danger, Princess, PB Alexia, Whisper (Japan), Crisp (Aust.). Her セ brother Sir Sandro was awarded 10 for his temperament at his 70 day performance test.

Santa Fe is expecting her 3rd foal to highly popular sire Dancier by ET which is due in late December 2010 and plans are again to breed her for ET this coming season.

HOLLINGROVE CONTIKI – won her yearling filly class at the prestigious Melbourne Summer Royal, she looked a treat and behaved beautifully for her first outing. We anticipated that she will prove invaluable as a broodmare as her expansive action and great bloodlines are exactly what we aim for.  She has since won Champion Broodmare at the AWHA Gala Show.

As a maiden mare, Tiki has bred us the most exquisite black filly by Dancier and so she has lived up to our most optimistic expectations.  Following Dee Dee's weaning, Tiki was broken in with the intention of her representing the stud at the 2010 DWTS, however plans needed to be changed after her rider became pregnant and was not going to be available to ride her by March. The decision was made for Tiki to join her jockey in the breeding stakes with a foal by Furst Love due in early January.
