Bella Carmina

BELLA CARMINA - Hollingrove Stud is excited and proud to announce the purchase of the stunning multi Champion 4yo.mare “Bella Carmina” at the Hannoverian Elite Foal and Broodmare Auction in Verden, August 2008.

 

Sired by former Bundeschampion winner “Bellissimo M” , her dam is the illustrious “Carmina Burana”, who in 1998 was crowned “Bundessiegerstute” -the title of German Champion Mare. In 1999 Carmina Burana was 4^th at the Bundeschampionat for riding horses in the 4yo.mare and gelding division whilst pregnant to Weltmeyer. The resulting foal “Walk of Fame” ended up in 2^nd place at the 2003 Bundeschampionat for 3 yo. riding mares and geldings. In following years Carmina also won the title of “Louis-Wiegels-Schau” and “Ratje-Niebur-Schau”, which together with her title “Bundessiegerstute” made her the most successful mare ever in Hannover. From Carmina's family there are many famous horses, for example “Weltino” with Ellen Schulen-Baumer.

 

Bella Carmina herself received outstanding scores at her Mare performance testing, and at the recent Louis-Wiegels-Schau, where she was Champion, she received scores of 10's and 9's.  

Bella Carmina's St Moritz colt Hollingrove Salzburg has been sold to Anna Thompson of Primrose Court Warmblood Stud in W.A. And she is due to foal early in February to Sir Donnerhall (click here for the DVD)

HOLLINGROVE SAMOA - is one of the stud's valuable foundation mares has passed on many of her great qualities- free, rhythmical paces with cadence and hock action, a friendly relaxed and willing nature and beautiful correct type, which has seen her rarely beaten in led classes. Every one of her foals that has been shown has won Champion Foal, the eldest two are now winning under saddle in dressage and the 3rd has since won Champion  WB Stallion or Colt at Melbourne Summer Royal.

 

Samoa foaled a magnificent colt  Sundance by Sunny Boy in Nov .07  and he has   since sold to the McPherson family of Forster NSW. 
 

Samoa has been bred to Shiraz Black this season, a similar Sandro Hit/Donnerhall cross to Sunny Boy and hopefully with similar outstanding results.

HOLLINGROVE FALLON  impresses all that see her with her magnificent presence, big well put-together type and the most expressive powerful movement which she passes on to all her offspring. Her 2005 Sandro Hit filly has the looks of her father with her mother's huge paces, and could well be one of the best foals yet to be bred in Australia and is certainly one with world class breeding!

HOLLINGROVE FANTINE  is by the Dutch dressage sire sensation "Flemmingh" who currently has 2 dressage stars at World Cup level, " Krack C "and" Gestion Lingh".  In Australia he is represented by a number of outstanding horses including Neversfelde Feuer, who is partnered by Australian Elite Talent Squad rider Kelly Layne (from Queensland).  They are wowing the judges at Grand Prix level.

 

Hollingrove Fantine was lightly competed as a four year old, with great success.  She has gone on to prove her value as a brood mare by producing a super moving yearling by the frozen semen stallion Falsterbo and then a stunning filly by Sunny Boy.  The quality of Fantine's offspring confirms the worth of retaining mares of the highest calibre with the best proven bloodlines.

Fantine has produced a tall, elegant brown colt by His Highness, with the same sensational movement and suspension that she imparts on all her foals. Fantine is expecting a Dancier foal  due early November 2009

 

Fantine has been sold to Samantha Pascoe of Gurteen Stud, North Canterbury in New Zealand. 

 

Fantine's  super 2007 colt by (Magic) Ronaldo has been sold  ... and her 2008 (by His Highness) foal Hollingrove Highwayman is offered for sale.

HOLLINGROVE CHANDON –  "Donnerhall" blood on the damline is highly sought after in Europe, and mares of Chandon's quality are hard to find and generally not for sale. So far, she has produced 3 excellent foals for us and we have glowing reports from their new owners.  Her outstanding Weltmeyer foal was sold to Singapore and the lovely Escudo 1 filly has found a  new home in Western Australia.

 

 Chandon has just presented us with a beautiful leggy chestnut filly by Fidertanz.  Chandon will be bred to Hampton this season

 HOLLINGROVE DREAMTIME - Is one of only a couple of frozen semen Australian foals sired by the ill-fated black Oldenburg  stallion "Dream of Glory", this sensational filly has been eagerly sought after since birth, with several large offers refused. However, it was always our intention to retain a filly for breeding by this fabulous sire, and we are certainly thrilled with how she has turned out, proving to be the one of the best moving horses we have seen either in Australia or in Europe with suspension and cadence "to die for". She has proved our opinion correct by being unbeaten with fabulous scores both times shown. Dreamtime has produced a stunning black colt by Sirocco (Dec'd).  He is beautifully marked with a star and 4 white socks and has fabulous 'uphill' paces.

 

Dreamy has 2 sons this season ... her ET Royal Hit bay colt and the flashy black Fidertanz - both have her trademark super movement.   Both sold.

 

Plans are to firstly do an embryo transfer with Royal Oak 11 this season, and then put dreamy in foal to Gribaldi-sire of the latest dressage sensation, Edward Gal's Totillas.

SANTA FE (imp) –  was purchased from the famous Hengstation Pape in Hemoor, Germany, and
imported to Australia as a 2 year old.   Santa Fe (imp.) was bred by the same breeder as
the respected stallion,  His Highness -and carries the same famous damline “Agave”, 
with Donnerhall being damsire of both.

 

Santa Fe’s ½ brother by De Niro, ”Don Jovi” is a licensed stallion competing at FEI level
Dressage in Belgium. Her ¾ brother - "Sir Sandro” by Sandro Hit, is also a licensed stallion
at the Marbach State Stud.  We are very proud to have these illustrious bloodlines in our breeding
program  and know that the successful European studs attribute the depth of quality to the
strength of their mares.

 

Sadie has bred us a gorgeous Royal Hit filly and is to be bred to Dancier this season .

STIRLING LIP SIP'N SUCK – A unique opportunity arose to purchase this impressive Salute broodmare.  She is the dam of one of the brightest young stars on the showjumping circuit in Australia "Didgeridoo". Lippy's has a proven performance pedigree and her dam was also an "A" grade showjumper.  She has proven to her ability to pass on  wonderful  talent  and a her reliable temperament and these qualities are seen in a full brother to "Didg" by Damiro.  He is just starting out in competition and impressing the talent spotters!

 

Lippy has produced a top quality filly by PSI jumping sensation Balou du Rouet.  The filly  has been sold to Laura Hedburg and her daughter Catherine Davies of Queen's Park Performance Horses in Romsey for an eventing career. Lippy will be re-bred to Balou du Rouet this season.

HOLLINGROVE CONTIKI – won her yearling filly class at the prestigious Melbourne Summer Royal, she looked a treat and behaved beautifully for her first outing. We anticipated that she will prove invaluable as a broodmare as her expansive action and great bloodlines are exactly what we aim for. 
 

As a maiden mare, Tiki has bred us the most exquisite black filly by Dancier and so she has lived up to our most optimistic expectations.  She will not be re-bred in the 2008 season, but will start under saddle after her foal is weaned. Tiki is presently being broken in by Robert Goodwin of Windsor Farm with the intention to compete her in Young dressage Horse Classes with DWTS in mind for next year.
